How to Make Bhel

Learn, how to make Indian spicy and tangy snack - Bhel. As you know Bhel is a very famous Indian snack. It is a light weight snack, specially very appropriate in summer. You can say that it is a road side snack recipe, loved by everyone. 


Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Serves - 4 persons


Ingredients to make Bhel:


2 cup puffed rice - mamra 
1 cup bhel ni sev
10 - 15 papdi
2 boiled potatoes
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
1 capsicum finely chopped
1 beat finely chopped
1/2 cup pomegranate
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander 
2 table spoon soaked peanut
5 - 6 table spoon sweet chutney
2 - 3 table spoon green chutney
1 - 2 tea spoon fresh garlic chutney


For garnishing:


Nylon sev
Coriander
Pomegranate
Crushed papdi
Grated beat


Method to make Bhel:
  1. Mix all the ingredients of bhel in a bowl. Add all three chutnies and mix well.
  2. Garnish with nylon sev, coriander leaves, pomegranate, crushed papdi, and grated beat. 
  3. Serve tangy Bhel immediately after mixing.

    How to Make Upma


    Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make upma - A South Indian break fast. Upma is very well known south Indian recipe. It contains less oil so, good for diet conscious people. 


    Preparation time - 10 minutes
    Cooking time - 15 minutes
    Serves - 4

    Ingredients to make Upma:




    2 cups semolina
    1 cup whipped curd
    Salt to taste
    3 cup water
    5 to 6 green chilies - finely chopped
    1 big onion - finely chopped
    1/2 small carrot - finely chopped
    1/4 cup boiled green peas
    8 to 10 cashew nut
    10 to 15 curry leaves
    1 tea spoon crushed ginger
    2 table spoon finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
    1 table spoon urad dal
    1 tea spoon mustard seeds
    2 table spoon oil

    Ingredients to make coconut chutney:

    1 grated coconut without brown portion
    1/2 cup roasted dadiya chana
    1 cup curd
    2 green chilies
    1 tea spoon crushed ginger
    8 - 10 curry leaves
    Salt to taste

    For Tadka:

    1 table spoon oil
    1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
    1/4 tea spoon hing
    5 - 6 curry leaves

    MTR Upma Mix Instant Dry Mix, 7.04-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 30)Method to make Upma:
    1. Take oil in a pan. Heat it and add mustard seeds. When mustard seeds crackles add cashew nut, urad dal, green chilly and ginger cook till cashews are light brown, now add onion and stir fry till onion become transparent. Add carrot and stir fry for 2 minutes again. At last add semolina - sooji and roast till semolina turns to light brown.   
    2. Mix salt, water and curd together and add it to semolina mixture. Add boiled green peas and cook till semolina absorbs water. 
    3. Garnish with coriander. Hot Upma is ready to serve. Serve Upma with fresh coconut chutney.
    Method to make Coconut chutney:
    1. Crush all the ingredients of chutney together.
    2. Heat oil in an another small pan, add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add hing and curry leaves in it and spread over chutney.

    Ingredients to make Rum Balls:


    For Chocolate Sauce:


    100 gram single fat cream
    125 gram chocolate slab (100 gm.dark + 25 gm.sweet) 
    1/2 tea spoon vanilla essence


    For Balls:


    200 gram crumbled chocolate sponge cake


    (Chocolate Sponge Cake)


    1 tea spoon vanilla essence
    1/2 tea spoon rum essence


    For Garnishing:


    Chocolate sauce
    Whipped sweet cream


    Method to make Rum Balls:
    • For Chocolate Sauce:
    1. Mix shredded chocolate and low fat cream to gather. Cook in microwave for 30 seconds or till chocolate melts. Add vanilla essence and mix properly. Keep a side.
    • For Balls:
    1. Crumble chocolate sponge cake and add before made chocolate sauce in it, now add vanilla essence and rum essence in it. Mix well. (Add chocolate sauce till you can make balls from the crumbled cake.)
    2. Keep it in refrigerator for 10 minutes. 
    3. After that garnish with chocolate sauce and whipped sweet cream.
    4. Yummy chocolaty Rum Balls are ready to serve. Store in refrigerator.
    Tips:
    • You may cover it with coconut powder or chocolate vermicelli also.

    How to Make Tiramisu

    Learn, how to make Tiramisu- an Italian desert. Tiramisu is a very famous Italian desert. It is very easy to make, and delicious to eat. It contains flavor of chocolate and coffee. 

    Preparation time - 15 minutes

    Ingredients to make Tiramisu:


    200 ml. single fat cream
    100 to 125 gram grated paneer - cottage cheese
    50 to 60 gram icing sugar
    2 packet chocolate chips biscuits 
    2 cups water
    2 1/2 table spoon


    For garnishing:


    Cocoa powder


    Method to make Tiramisu:
    1. Mix cream, paneer and icing sugar and mix it with the help of blender.
    2. Mix coffee powder and water properly.
    3. Now take a square or rectangle baking dish. Spread a very thin layer of cream on the base of baking dish.
    4. Dip chocolate chips cookie in coffee concentrate and put on the cream. Repeat the process till whole base is covered.
    5. Now make a layer of cream over it and sprinkle some coffee powder.
    6. Again dip cookies and cover the cream.
    7. Spread the cream, repeat the process if required.
    8. Make sure that the top layer must be of cream only.
    9. Garnish with cocoa powder.
    10. Set Tiramisu for 3 -4 hours in refrigerator.
    11. Chilled Italian desert is ready to serve.

    How to Make Burger

    Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Learn how to make tangy, spicy and cheesy Burger at home. Burger is very popular fast food. Here in this recipe it contains cheese, paneer and lots of vegetables also. So it is fast food but full of calcium and vitamins.

    Serves - 4 
    Preparation time - 10 minutes 
    Cooking time - 20 minutes

    Ingredients to make Burger:

    4 no. Burger bun
    butter

    For making tikki: 

    3 no. medium size boiled potato - mashed
    100 gram grated paneer - cottage cheese
    2 table spoon finely chopped onion
    2 table spoon finely chopped carrot
    2 table spoon finely chopped capsicum
    2 table spoon finely chopped coriander leaves
    2 table spoon finely chopped cabbage
    Salt to taste
    3 to 4 chopped green chilies
    1 tea spoon crushed ginger
    1 tea spoon red chilly powder
    1/2 tea spoon garam masala
    1 tea spoon sugar
    1/2 tea spoon roasted cumin powder
    Crushed bread as required
    oil 1 tea spoon

    For coating tikki:

    4 table spoon crushed onion
    Salt to taste
    6 table spoon self rising flour
    1 tea spoon red chilly powder
    1/4 tea spoon red chilly sauce
    Few drops vinegar or lemon juice
    5 to 6 table spoon water 
    1/4 tea spoon oregano
    Bread crumbs
    Oil for deep frying

    Salad:

    1 small sliced cucumber
    1 sliced tomato
    1 sliced onion
    4 leaves of cabbage
    4 cheese slices

    Green chutney
    tomato ketch up

    To serve with:

    Tomato ketch up
    french fries 
         or 
    Potato chips

    Method to make Burger:

    For tikki:
    1. For making petty, first of all heat oil in a pan. Now fry onion in it, add other vegetables, fry it. Add boiled potato and salt, green- red chilly, ginger, garam masalo, sugar and mix well. At the end add paneer and crushed bread as required. 
    2. Make petty from it and keep a side.
    For coating: 
    1. Mix all the ingredients of coating properly. Mix well.
    2. Coat tikki in it and at the end roll in bread crumb.
    3. Deep fry in very hot oil. Keep a side on kitchen tissue.
    4. Repeat the process for rest.
    For making Burger:
    1.  Cut and shallow fry burger in butter. Apply green chutney on inner side of base bun. Spread cabbage lief on it, place a tikki over it. 
    2. Put a cheese slice on it, and now spread cucumber slices, tomato slices and onion slices on it.
    3. Apply tomato sauce on inner part of upper part of bun. Cover it.
    4. Heat on tava- griddle or in microwave oven for few seconds. 
    5. Repeat the process for another burger.
    6. If you want to make paneer burger for kids instead of tikki you can fry paneer slice after coating.
    Serve Hot burger with tomato sauce and french fries or potato chips.

    How to Make Healthy Pizza

    Preparation time - 10 minutes

    Ingredients to make Healthy Pizza:

    For pizza base:

    Whole wheat flour


    :


    1 � cup
    Self rising flour
    :
    � cup
    Soya flour
    :
    2 table spoon
    Milk for making dough


    Oregano
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Chilly flacks
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Butter
    :
    1 table spoon
    Salt to taste


    Sugar powder
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Baking soda
    :
    � tea spoon
    Cooking soda
    :
    � tea spoon
    Curd
    :
    1 tea spoon



    For pizza sauce:





    Tomato pulp
    :
    1 cup
    Tomato ketch up
    :
    2 table spoon
    Oil
    :
    2 tea spoon
    Finely chopped onion
    :
    1
    Crushed garlic
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Red chilly powder
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Sugar
    :
    2 tea spoon
    Oregano
    :
    � tea spoon
    Chilly flacks

    � tea spoon
    Finely chopped capsicum

    1 small
    Cheese � grated
    :
    100-150 gram
    Salt to taste


    Corn flour
    :
    1 tea spoon



    Method to make Healthy Pizza:

    For pizza base:
    1. First of all mix all the ingredients of pizza base and make a stiff dough from them.
    2. Now make a big roti from it and prick it by fork or knife. Bake it at 180` c temp for 10 minutes or till light brown, other wise you can make pizza base on tavi - griddle also at very low flame. 
    3. Apply some butter over base and spread pizza sauce on it.
    4. If required you can sprinkle finely chopped capsicum,boiled corn,chopped onion and chopped tomatoes also.
    5. Cover the entire base with cheese. Yummy and delicious Healthy Pizza is ready to serve.
    For Pizza Sauce:
    1. Heat oil in a pan. fry onion and garlic for few minutes. Now add tomato pulp in it and cook for at least 5 minutes.
    2. When tomatoes are cooked add tomato ketchup,capsicum, chilly flacks,oregano,salt,red chilly powder and 1 table spoon grated cheese. Cook for 2 minutes. Add corn flour slurry and let it cook till thick. Pizza sauce is ready to apply,keep a side and let it cool at room temperature.
    3. You can store this in deep freeze for minimum 15 days.

As it is made by sooji- rava- semolina, it is healthy and instant. Here in this recipe its an honest try to make it more healthy and tasty by adding vegetables.

    Ingredients to make Rava Idli:



    Sooji  -semolina
    :
    250 grams
    Oil
    :
    2 � table spoon
    Whipped curd
    :
    1 cup
    Salt to taste


    Eno
    :
    1 tea spoon
    Finely chopped carrot
    :
    2 table spoon
    Finely chopped capsicum
    :
    2 table spoon
    Finely chopped cabbage
    :
    2 table spoon
    Finely chopped coriander
    :
    2 table spoon



    To serve with:





    Coconut chutney




    Healthy South Indian CookingMethod to make Rava Idli:
    1. Mix sooji and oil together. Add whipped curd in to it and mix well. Add some water if required. Keep a side for 10 minutes.  
    2. Now add salt to taste and finely chopped carrot,capsicum and cabbage,mix well.
    3. Add 1 tea spoon ENO and mix properly. Pour the mixture in Idli stand and cook on steam for 10 - 15 minutes.
    4. Repeat the process for the rest. Let it cool at room temperature and remove from the stand. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    5. Serve hot rava idli with coconut chutney.

    Bread slices

    For dressing:





    Onion � thin sliced or grated

    Cheese spread or grated cheese

    Method to make American Sandwich:
    1. Apply butter on all 8 slices of bread.(can be taken whole wheat bread also.) Keep a side.
    2. Mix cream, hung curd and cheese spread to gather. Add cabbage, onion and carrot to it. mix well. 
    3. Add salt and black pepper powder to taste. 
    4. Apply dressing over 4 slices of bread and cover it with another slices.
    5. Cut and serve American Sandwich.

    Garden of Eatin' Taco Shells, Yellow, 5.5 Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)Method to Make Taco Salad:
    1. For salsa dip: Cut tomatoes after removing peel.Roast capsicum on flame and remove peel and cut finely. Heat oil add ajwain and fry onion for about 30 - 40 seconds. Now add tomatoes,capsicum,salt,sugar and red chilly powder, cook for 4 - 5 minutes. Keep a side.
    2. Mix tomatoes,capsicum,spring onion and boiled kidney beans in salsa dip. Mix well.
    3. For serving take a taco chips and feel with above mixture. and serve healthy taco salad.
    4. You can serve taco chips and salad mixture in a dish separately also.
    5. For kids garnish with grated cheese.
