Ingredients to make Kathi Rolls:
For Paneer filling:
1 cup paneer � cubed
� cup tomatoes diced
� cup capsicum � diced (may be red, green and yellow)
� cup onion diced
1� tea spoon oil or butter
2 table spoon long cut spring onion greens
For marinating:
� cup whipped curd
� tea spoon turmeric powder
� tea spoon ginger paste
� tea spoon garlic paste
� tea spoon gram flour
� tea spoon chaat masala
� tea spoon roughly kasuri methi
� tea spoon garam masala
Salt to taste
For chapatti:
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tea spoon soybean flour
1 cup or as required milk
1 tea spoon baking powder
Salt to taste
To serve with:
Tomato sauce
Method to make Kathi Rolls:
For stuffing:
- Mix all the ingredients of marination and add paneer, tomatoes, capsicum and onion to it. Mix carefully. Keep a side for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil or butter in a non- stick pan and add capsicum, onion and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add tomato, paneer and again cook for 5 minutes at high flame. String occasionally.
- Mix all the ingredients of chapatti and knead soft dough. Keep a side for 10 minutes.
- Knead again and cook chapattis lightly on a tava - griddle on both the side. Keep a side covered with slightly wet muslin cloth.
- Divide the paneer tikka filling in to equal parts same as chapattis.
- Spread a portion of filling in the centre of chapatti and roll up tightly.
- Repeat the same for the rest.
- When you want to serve, cook the rolls on hot tava or griller. Apply some butter if you wish.
- Hot and tempting Kathi Rolls are ready to serve.
- Serve them with tomato sauce after cutting into desired size.
- You can do this whole process in griller also. Spread some butter over griller tray and place ready kathi roll over it for hot and crispy effect. Grill for 5 minutes.
