Ingredients to make masala vada:
Chana dal | : | 1 � cups |
Onion (finely chopped) | : | 1 cup |
Carrot (grated) | : | � cup |
Capsicum (finely chopped) | : | � cup |
Mint leaves | : | 2 table spoon |
Coriander leaves | : | 4 table spoon |
Green chillies(crushed) | : | 5 -6 |
Ginger(crushed) | : | � tea spoon |
Oil to deep fry | ||
Salt to test |
Method to make masala vada:
- Soak the chana dal in water for 3 -4 hours.
- Grind the dal to a course paste with very little water.
- Add finely chopper onion, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum,mint leaves,coriander leaves, chilly pest, ginger pest and salt to test in ground pest. Mix well.
- Take some dal mixture in your palm, shape into a ball and deep fry in hot oil,until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot masala vada with tomato sauce and fried green chillies.
