Lassi With Nuts

  1. Hang curd for 1 hour in refrigerator. Soak saffron strands in 2 tea spoon milk.
  2. Mix all ingredients together and churn it properly.
  3. Garnish lassi with chopped almonds, pistachio, raisins, 1 - 2 saffron strands and cardamom powder.

Hot ChocolateMethod to make Hot Chocolate:
  1. Mix skimmed milk with sugar, cocoa powder and corn flour.
  2. Let it cook at slow flame, till thick. Stir continually.
  3. When thicken properly pour in a serving glass.
  4. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate chips, serve piping hot Hot Chocolate.
If you want to serve cold cocoa you can take 4 table spoons of corn flour in stead of 3. Let it chilled in freezer compartment. Then serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Kulfi

Gits Kulfi Ice Cream Mix 100gmMethod to make Kulfi:
  1. Bring the milk to a boil on the fire, than pour into a largish microwave - safe dish. Stir in the cardamom and saffron, now microwave at 100% power for 2 minutes, then reduce the power at 80% cook for 17 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the sugar, corn flour slurry and almonds. Microwave at the same level for 2 minutes.
  2. Stand 3 - 4 minutes, then stir in the saffron essence and pour into kulfi mold. Freeze.
  3. Thaw kulfi for a few minutes at a room temperature before serving. 

Halwa

Method to make Halwa:
  1. Put the ghee in a largish microwave - safe flat - bottomed dish. Microwave at 100% power for 3 minutes.
  2. While ghee is warming dry roast the flour and the semolina in a karhai. Keep tossing and stirring till it is golden brown and aromatic.
  3. Put the sugar,saffron and water in a pan and bring to boil.
  4. Once the ghee is heated heated, tip in the roasted flour. Stir and cook at the same power for 1 minute.Now take the dish out of the oven, and stirring constantly, pour back into the oven and cook for 4 minutes,uncovered, stirring after every minute. Stand 2 minutes before pouring into a serving dish and garnishing Halwa with nuts and raisins.

  1. Bring the milk, cardamoms and rice to boil on the fire.
  2. Pour into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 100%power for 2 minutes or till the milk comes back to a boil again.
  3. Reduce power level to 80% and continue to cook for 15 minutes, stirring thrice. Add the sugar, raisins and continue to cook 2 minutes more.
  4. Stand 5 minutes.
  5. Chill well before serving or in winter, serve hot.
  6. Garnish Kheer with almonds, pistachio, raisins and saffron.

Method to make Apple Pie:
  1. For making pastry mix wheat flour and butter cubes. Mix it by finger tips only, make dough by chilled water.
  2. Cover it with wet cloth and keep a side for at least 10 - 15 minutes in refrigerator.
  3. Roll a thick chapati from dough. In a greased oven proof dish press chapati and prick it with fork.
  4. Bake it for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 200`c temp.
  5. Mix apple slices, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon powder. Shallow fry for some times till water absorb.
  6. Spread it over pastry, also spread filling over it. 
  7. Bake it for 15 minutes at 150`c temp.
  8. Serve apple pie with ice cream.
Apple pie is an all time American favorite. It goes great with ice cream or whipped cream, is great served up hot, and still delicious when served cool.
